Those students who aspire to be the News Reporters/Anchors, must possess the following characteristics and qualities:
Dependability
(Students must be organized, be able to meet deadlines, and be punctual.)
Enthusiasm
(Students must show initiative to research, write, use computers, and make suggestions for pertinent story lines and visuals. )
Competancy with Language
(Student must have basic understanding of grammar and syntax)
Ability to work with others
(Students must demonstrate cooperative learning)
Curiosity
(Student must be willing to keep audience's attention by creating story lines that have interesting angles.)
Camera Presence
(Student must look professional on camera, think on one's feet, have a good eye and voice contact with the camera, speak distinctly with a forceful voice, have the right pace of delivery (don't read from a paper or speak too fast or too slow), have
good posture and poise.)
